Carole Joy Creations Inc. was established in 1985 by Victor and Carole Gellineau. Starting with only 6 Christmas designs, the company has steadily increased its offering to over 600 items. Today the line includes
Christmas, Kwanzaa, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthday and everyday cards, blank notes, invitations, birth announcements, prints, church bulletins, wedding invitations, a baby record book, journals, notepads, calendars and personal planners. The birth of Carole Joy Creations grew out of basic need and desire. Carole designed the family's greeting cards for years because Black cards were virtually nonexistent. Numerous friends began requesting that she illustrate cards for them, and this sparked the entrepreneurial interest. Victor, with a degree in business from Howard University, had a long time desire to start a manufacturing company and saw this need as a golden opportunity. The rest, as they say, is history. After years of working out of their home in Danbury Connecticut, the couple now lead a team of over 20 dedicated people who contribute to the day-to-day success of the business.
